| Okay so, I caved and gave you all 41 hours hours instead of 24. Voting is officially over, because I just recieved an e-mail stating that the submission limit has been reached. 200 submission, and 144 official counted votes! I'm glad the final 35 spots all went to serious voters. I'm gonna go ahead and finish counting the final ones, which shouldn't take that much longer. Then I'm gonna start making the awards, I'll post them whenever I'm done. I probably can't contain the excitement until Friday. ♥ |

| A Little Unprofessional |
| This is super unprofessional of me, but I'm going to ending the voting in just 24 hours, so get your last minute votes in! I apologize, but there is a reason, allow me to explain myself. We've received 165 votes, in 4 days; only 117 of which were accepted, tons thrown out for not reading the rules or for the reason I stated in the previous update. Anyway... the point being, the form-making website we use has a submission limit, of only 200 entries per form. We're getting close to the limit, and I don't want anyone having the form thrown back in their face saying, "Limit exceeded," or whatever the hell it says when such occurs. We've already passed our record of 100 votes (in 11 straight days), which I'm in awe over, so thank you all for participating! I'm totes excited for the outcome, there are so many categories that would probably be deemed too close to call if this were a nationwide election. ;] I'll be back in 24 hours to close the polls, and I'll be back again on Friday with super cool awards ya'll. |

After receiving a ton of forms with the first fic from every category marked, I got a little suspicious. Apparently, I had the form set up to already have a mark on those, I apologize. None of them are premarked anymore, and all categories are required to be voted in, or you'll get an error when you go to submit. Needless to say, all the form with just had the first fics from every category have been thrown out... and none of the Reader's Choice were recorded. Also... please read the rules, I shouldn't have to of thrown out as many votes as I have as a failure to reading the rules. |

| Nearing Nomination Period End -- Warning |

Timeline changed a day. Next Thursday, June 3rd, is the last day to get your nominations in. The day after, June 4th, we will be sending out the final e-mails. These e-mails will include the new nomination notifications for this final week, as well as notifications to authors who need to choose which fics they would like to go into the voting round. All fics nominated in round three must be accepted by Tuesday, June 8th, or they will essentially be tossed out. This however, does not go for authors that have already accepted their fics, but must choose which will move on. In the case that we don't hear from them, we will choose for them. Don't fret though, we will try to think like the author would have. Since we don't really want anyone to be left out, we have composed a list of authors we have not yet heard from (weeks one-three). Haylz, Losttkidd, Sapere aude We're completely satisfied with the categories we decided to scratch this round, as all of them had at least five nominations by week two, which is the minimum for categories to go onto voting. Crack is the least popular category, and it may be out for next round, we'll see. That will be determined by ya'll. When we release the awards this round, we will ask you all to fill out a survey about how we run things. This will determine the future of Tokio Hotel Fan Fiction Awards. That's it for now. |

E-mails are a little early this week, because I somehow got conned into working on a Friday. :/ Major lulz at my stupidity. I'm pretty sure I sent half of this week's e-mails out with the subject, "Rokio Hotel Fan Fiction Awards -- Round 3". I still can't believe that I didn't catch that sooner. Anyway, all e-mails sent, still missing the people in the post below. Again, get in touch with them and tell them they should check their mail more often. :] Not much to add this round, just a little something. When you're nominating, please don't nominate the same fic in four or more categories. The author is going to have to deny at least one of them, so why have them make that decision when you can? | Week Two Nominations |

Alright, I just got done sending out week two e-mails. A couple authors didn't respond from week one, so I just resent them, along with any new nominations they may have received. One person informed me that she didn't even get last week's notification, after I pestered her to accept it; and one person that didn't respond last weel, just accepted the nomination right after I sent it this week. I dunno what to say, maybe check your spam boxes? I might go back to our old e-mail address, it seems to have given us less problems than gmail does. Just a reminder -- please look over the catergories page before you nominate. Fics with six chapters do not belong in the One-Shot category, and finished fics do not belong in the Work In Progress category. Just sayin'. ;] Two weeks left to nominate; we're halfway through! | A few questions, answered |

I'm in the process of updating the nominations page with accepted fics, at the moment. We have to do it all manually, so please be patient. If you responded to the e-mail we sent you, your fic(s) will be added. Someone asked us why we even send them out, so here are your answers. A. Most of the authors get really excited to hear that their fics have been nominated for an award, and when we get their response, it puts a smile on our faces. It makes us happy to know that just by sending someone an e-mail, it made them happy, :]. Now that everyone is happy, let's move on to point B. B. We get a shit-ton of nominations, and it's not like we have the time or energy to read them as they come in. This means, we need to know that the fics fit into the categories they are nominated for, and who knows a fic better than it's writer? For example; an author writes a fic about Bill and Tom doing 'it', and someone nominates it for het. Obviously, the author is not going to accept this nomination. C. Last, but not least... we make mistakes. Point blank. This system helps keep us in check. One last thing, to make this a lot easier on us, we now request that you put the rating of the story in your nomination form. |

I just got done sending out the nomination notifications for week one. Soon enough the Round 3 page should be filling up! It's exciting to see all the new authors being nominated, and several past authors. Also, I wanted to add, please spread the word that round 3 has begun. We are used to buying ad space on THF when nominations start and when voting starts, and well that's no longer an option. So as we got quite a few nomination forms, we aren't anywhere near past round results. See ya next week. |

OMG, it's May 7th and I'm actually here! I miscalculated when my semester ends, but my finals are going to be easy. Which leaves me in no position to hold off on this project any longer. But I've been reading fics nonstop lately, many of them absolutely amazing and deserving of awards. Although I'm not quite ready to begin, I will officially start round three for sure on May 7th. School will be over for the semester, and I'll have plenty of time. I PROMISE. |
