| Hey everyone, we just wanted to thank you all again for participating in round one of the awards. Everything turned out great and participation was awesome, and we are looking forward to having you all nominate and vote again for round two. It's looking like we will start nominations for round two in October 2008, so keep thinking about which fics you'd like to nominate until then. :) Also.. check out this sexy hexy banner. | We've received a stellar 90 votes and counting! That's amazing. We can't thank you guys enough! Voting will end very soon on 28 May 2008, so get all your friends together and tell them to vote if they haven't. We want this turnout to be so amazing for you guys. After the voting is closed, we will announce the winners of each category on 4 June 2008, along with some very special awards and acknowledgments for outstanding performance this round. Voting is up! Take your time, read all the wonderful fics we've set up for you, and vote vote vote. The rules for voting can be found in the voting link. I thought I'd try a little something and extend the Readers' Choice category to the voting form. Let's pretend you never nominated a fic for Readers' Choice, alright? Wipe the slate clean. Put the name and author of your ultimate favorite fic in the voting form where it asks, and optionally explain why. I want to see if we get different results than the nominations and I want more people to participate in the Readers' Choice category, so it is now mandatory. Yay! Come and vote! |

All e-mails have been sent out as of now. Sorry they were a little late, we will be pushing back the voting another day. Please respond to your e-mails ASAP! No categories have been kicked out this round, since they all had at least five nominations. If someone does not accept a nomination in a category and it makes it have less than five nominations, you're still safe to accept your fic in that category. We also have to add one name to our list of author's we were not able to get a hold of. Again, please let them know that they have been nominated and we need to hear from them via bill [at] room-483 [dot] com; invisiblehabits, Kaulitzcest, lamentationG, Lovekaulitztwins, RavanaSnape, shadowoftheday, Social Misfit and tomgasm. We also wanted to give a huge thanks to everyone who nominated in the first round here at Tokio Hotel Fan Fiction Awards! There was way more participation than we imagined. *hugs* |

| Update - Final Days to Nominate |

You may have noticed that we did not send the e-mails out on Friday like we normally do. This is because tomorrow is the last day to nominate, so tomorrow at midnight we will send out the final e-mails which will include, for the authors that have too many fics nominated, a list of your nominations and the rules. Also, for the authors that need to choose which fics of theirs are nominated, it is a major MUST that we have your response by/on Friday. This is so we can start the voting process on time. I'm also very proud to announce that as of right now we have every category but one filled. We still need one nomination to go toward the Futuristic category. So get to nominating, you've got today and tomorrow! Thanks everyone! And on one last note, there are several authors that we have yet to hear from. We're hoping this is just an e-mail problem. | Update - Week 3 |

It's nearing the end of week 3 and we have a ton of new nominations for you. We are thrilled with how many we are getting, so please keep them coming! Earlier in the week we had a slight problem with our form, but it's been fixed now. The spam filter on the nomination form has been modified, so we don't expect to see much of a problem with it now, but if you are still having a problem please let us know! Also, the new Series category wasn't added correctly to the form last week, so any nominations made for the Series category have not been received up until now. Please resend those Series nominations with your next submission. The timeline has been updated a little to allow for authors who have been uber-nominated some time to decide which noms they want to accept. Hopefully two-ish days will be enough time. We are still in almost desperate need of nominations in these categories: Crossover (3), Futuristic (2), M-Preg (4), Series (4). So close, but they need five nominations to be able to vote. |

There is now a category for Series available for nominating. You must enter the name of the series and a link to the series in the nomination form, not one fic from the series. Series nominated in the Series category will only count as one nomination rather than the number of fics in the series. That was a mouthful. Also, since the last update, the categories that now have less than five fics nominated are: Crossover (2), Futuristic (2), M-Preg (4), and Series (1). |

Thanks to everyone who's been nominating lately. We got a huge rush of nominations in this week and sent a ton of e-mails out to authors. As of right now, these are the categories in which there are less than five fics nominated. These categories will be trashed if they don't get at least five nominations by the time the nomination period ends: Crack, Crossover, Fantasy, Futuristic, M-Preg, and Paranormal. No need to panic, we have more than two weeks left, but keep that in mind. |

To the person who has tried to nominate using the name and e-mail address of the author they were nominating: Since I don't have your e-mail address, I'll have to address this here. The name/alias and e-mail address you enter in the nominating form must be your own. If you enter the name and e-mail of the author, 1) it appears as though someone is nominating their own fic, which is against the rules, and 2) we have no way of contacting you since we don't have your e-mail address. Please, whoever you are, fill out the form again with your own name and e-mail address. I will update the nominating form to make this a little more clear for everyone. Sorry for the misunderstanding, guys! |

| Update - IMPORTANT! |

We have encountered a problem. I've recently sent out notifications to all the current nominees. Some of you are saying that you received those e-mails in your spam e-mail folder. For this reason, I ask everyone to check their spam mail to make sure that they haven't gotten an e-mail from the staff. If you do not reply to the e-mail, your fic will not be listed under the Round One nominations, so this is a big must. Please check your spam mail. Once you reply, I will have your e-mail address and will no longer need to send you mail through the Tokio Hotel Fiction site, which might have been the problem with the e-mails being marked as spam. Also, there will be an update to the rules. Collaboration fics (fics with multiple authors) will be nominated separately from single author fics. This means that an author may have three fics nominated that they wrote by themselves, and three separate fics nominated that they wrote with another author. Thanks guys. The site is finally open to the public! We've been working on this for a while, and we even had to rework the timeline because we were behind schedule, but we're ready now. We hope you enjoy the site and have a lot of fun nominating your favorite fics. We can't wait to see how people react to the site and how many people are interested. Thank you to everyone who expressed interest, gave their support, and helped to make this site possible. You're so amazing for me. |
